The Schweizerische Alpine Mittelschule (SAMD), a Davos community foundation, is the high school (Mittelschule) for the region of Davos, upper Prättigau, and the Albula Valley. The school has a boarding school. A total of around 260 students receive their education in the academic secondary school (Gymnasium) or in the business school (Handelsmittelschule). SAMD is the first school in Switzerland to have its services certified. A precondition for this was extensive testing of processes and services, and the Allergy Seal of Quality was awarded after the strict requirements were fulfilled, especially in the areas of hypoallergenic interiors and food.

Wide range of products for people with intolerances and allergies
The Coop cooperative offers a wide range of products that are suitable for people with food intolerances. Coop's own brand "Free From" products are specially developed for people with allergies and intolerances. They are free from gluten and/or lactose or other ingredients that can trigger allergies. These include celery, mustard and eggs, for example. In addition to the free from products, Coop offers other own brands such as Naturaplan, Karma and Betty Bossi, which do not contain lactose or gluten. These products are also certified by Service Allergie Suisse and are labeled on the front as "gluten-free" or "lactose-free". In the non-food sector, Coop also sells hypoallergenic products which can be easily recognised by the Allergy Seal of Quality.
